Use cases ranged from analyzing how public transit systems are functioning to streaming data for self-driving cars. My job as the Principal Designer began by working directly with the company’s CTO to visually simplify (while still implying the massive scale, speed, and potential of) the technology into a series of diagrams that could be used in white papers and press releases. From there I worked with the internal brand team and our very talented motion designers to storyboard a series of brief videos that explained how live data could benefit companies or even countries (like New Zealand). The process required several rounds of design and illustration, stock curation, asset production, problem solving, and review. Finally, I worked with the brand team to create marketing brochures, one-pagers, and banners to get the word out.
