Gradient Ventures Offsite
Google’s venture capital arm, Gradient Ventures, invests in early-stage companies focused on AI and machine learning. For their annual partner winter offsite (this year at a snowy lodge in Tahoe), they asked me to come up with something unexpected. As a skier, I thought about that quiet thrill of fresh, undisturbed snow and how the courage it takes to wander off trail in search of undiscovered terrain might really resonate with many of these company founders. Playing within the brand’s bold color scheme, I created a series of illustrated slides and layouts that threaded big statements, dense charts, and data points with small quiet moments of snowy wonder.
